the story of We Hew Home
We Hew Home is the culmination of many years of apartment dwelling in cities from D.C. to NYC to Los Angeles on a tight budget. When I moved to New York City for college, interior decorating became a creative outlet for me. From studios to one and two-bedroom apartments, one thing was constant. I committed to hewing homes of all of these spaces.
Now, over a decade and countless apartments later, transforming a space into a home still brings me the greatest joy. I want the same for you.
Hew means “to give shape or form to.” I hope that We Hew Home will be a valuable and, most of all, relatable source of ideas and inspiration as you give shape and form to your own home.
