meet We Hew Home

We Hew Home is the culmination of many years of apartment dwelling and tight budgets. When I moved to New York City for college, interior decorating became a creative outlet for me. Whether it was a tiny studio in Harlem, a Spanish-style 1 bed in Los Angeles, or somewhere in between, I committed to hewing home out of every single space (partly because rent is too high not to and partly because I love making spaces beautiful and livable).

Now, over a decade later, transforming a space into a home still brings me the greatest joy. I want the same for you.

Hew means “to give shape or form to.” I hope that We Hew Home will be a valuable guide and source of inspiration as you give shape and form to your own home.
